IT Auditor
Our client is currently seeking a Senior IT Auditor.
This job will have the following
Responsibilities:
Responsibilities:
o Plan and lead IT audits; o Plan and lead special projects for management; o Perform pre-implementation reviews of all new systems and major system enhancements; o Prepare the initial audit report after completion of fieldwork and review the results and recommendations with management; o Perform IT Risk Assessments; o Plan and perform SOX testing of all IT key controls including System Development, Program Change Management, Computer Security, Computer Operations and Application controls.
; o Provide IT support to the rest of the Internal Audit Department for financial and operations SOX testing, and other audits as needed; o Support audit software (ACL) testing by assisting in data extracts and data analytics; o Supporting Management with the due diligence process of IT vendors, as required.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Overview:
The Senior IT Auditor will report directly to the Vice President and General Auditor.
The successful candidate will assist in the planning, execution and delivery of IT audits and will perform IT SOX testing.
The role is necessary to support the Internal Audit Plan and to provide an experienced auditor for IT SOX testing on behalf of IT management.
This will require an individual with a strong knowledge of systems and controls, excellent written and oral skills, attention to detail and the desire to learn and take on new roles.
REQUIREMENTS:
o BS degree in Information Technology or Business; o Experience in a Big 4 Audit Firm or equivalent preferred; o Experience in property/casualty insurance preferred; o Experience of working in a commercial insurance environment and knowledge of basic insurance concepts would be an advantage; o Excellent written and oral communication skills required; o Strong report writing skills; o Ability to collate and understand significant volumes of information; o Ability to work alone or in multi person teams; o Ability to deliver to deadlines; o CISA required.
o Knowledge of at least one Operating Systems e.

Windows 2007; o Basic understanding of Client Server, AS400, SQL Server, Oracle; o Confident user of Microsoft Office Applications and Internet; o Knowledge of basic database and programming concepts; o Knowledge of IT controls and hands-on programming experience would be an advantage; o Experience conducting SOX IT control testing; o Familiarity with Audit Command Language (ACL) audit software preferred.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
